It turned out to be a beautiful day although a bit muddy on the final leg of the walk. It was exciting to see a real dog sled team in action. Even if it was a short journey. We can only imagine the true excitement Tom is feeling when he begins his trek across Alaska.
Clara’s friend Sue taught the children how deaf people use
sign language to talk. She taught them all about Clara and her life.
Clara showed the children how good she is at digging for bugs in the dirt.
The children seemed to truly have fun, and so did Clara, she loved all the attention.
Catching crickets is her favorite game, and as you can tell she almost couldn’t wait!
Then she ended the class by laying her egg!
